Your first hostel stay is easier when you know what is shared, what is included and how arrival works. At CroParadise, the aim is a comfortable base for exploring Split; we are not a party hostel. This guide focuses on everyday routines rather than choosing between room types.
Read your actual room reservation
Check whether you booked one dorm bed, a private bedroom or an entire unit. Then read bathroom and kitchen access separately. A private bedroom can still use a shared bathroom, and a kitchen shown in a property gallery may be shared with other booked rooms.

If the terminology is unfamiliar, our hostel vs apartment guide explains the booking types. Before arrival, make sure you know the bed arrangement and which address applies to your unit.
What happens on arrival
Standard check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is at 10:00. Have your booking confirmation and the requested identification ready, and complete any guest-registration steps sent to you. Early room access depends on availability; do not plan your day around it without confirmation.
Reception is at Čulića Dvori 29, while accommodation is spread across several buildings. Follow your arrival instructions. If you expect to arrive after reception closes at 22:00, arrange self check-in in advance.
Pack for your routine, not every possible situation
- A small day bag: Useful for exploring while a larger suitcase is stored.
- Personal toiletries: Check what your booked room includes before assuming extras are supplied.
- Headphones: Use them for calls, music and videos in shared spaces.
- Phone and charger: Save the address and access instructions offline.
- Optional sleep aids: Earplugs or an eye mask may help if you are sensitive to other guests’ routines.
Ask about storage and locker arrangements for your unit before buying a particular lock. Check towel and linen inclusions in the specific offer rather than relying on a generic packing list.
Shared-space habits that make a difference
In a shared kitchen, clean utensils and the work surface after cooking, clear the table and avoid leaving food that blocks another guest’s space. Follow the unit’s fridge and food-storage instructions. Bathroom access also works better when everyone leaves the space ready for the next person.

Keep luggage out of corridors and room entrances. If you arrive or leave while others are sleeping, prepare your bag earlier and use the lighting considerately. Sharing a room gives you a bed, not exclusive control of its lights and atmosphere.
Quiet hours and evenings out
CroParadise quiet hours are 22:00–08:00, and the accommodation is non-smoking. Enjoy Split’s evening activities outside, then return quietly. The nightlife guide can help plan an outing, but a late night out does not change the accommodation’s house rules.

You can meet people naturally in shared areas without anyone needing to join a group activity. If you want to work or study, ask about suitable shared places; a desk is not included in every sleeping space.
Make check-out straightforward
Pack before the 10:00 check-out, follow the key-return instructions and ask separately about departure-day luggage storage. Leaving a suitcase does not extend your room reservation. Check your transport time before deciding when to collect it.
